CES 2022: What will we see at the world's largest electronic show in January?

Watching CES online last year was an
experience - but we are delighted to see it return to its original 2022
humanity format.
Starting in January, CES 2022 will bring the
number of new devices to all major players in the industry. We will see
cutting-edge TV technology from the likes of LG, Samsung and Sony, as well as
new laptops, smartphones, smartphones and headphones, too.
That said, we are expecting a slightly
smaller show than in previous years due to the ongoing Covid-19 epidemic and
its impact on international travel - but for now, the CTA says most major
players will return to their regular venues on the Las Vegas Convention Center
show floor. Sounds like it will be a little smaller than in previous years, but
with all the same tech-y beauty you can expect at CES.
Whether you decide to go to CES 2022 online
or in person, we expect it to be full of news and announcements, and we will be
there to bring all the news directly to your screen.
CES 2022 days and hours
Officially, CES 2022 is operational from
Wednesday, January 5 to Saturday, January 8, 2022. This is where the exhibition
will open, and you will be able to tour various booths - as long as you have
official documents to be vaccinated.
Like previous conferences, however, there are
two days of media conferences that take place before the opening of the
exhibition which takes place on Monday, January 3 and Tuesday, January 4. That
includes CES Open which takes place from 5 - 8 pm PST on Monday, January 3 and
major media events from on LG, Samsung and Sony which happened Tuesday at 8
a.m. PST and continued throughout the day.
When more people arrive there on Wednesday,
the CES show will be open from 10am PST to 6pm PST and from 9am to 6pm PST from
Thursday to Friday. CES 2022 will officially wrap up at 4 pm PST on Saturday,
January 8th.
So what are we going to see there?
Samsung at CES 2022
From TVs to phones to the things you will be
able to buy next year, as well as chef bots and robot ideas that can reach the
market, Samsung always has plenty to showcase at CES, and we expect the same
product list to be shown at CES 2022.
We expect Samsung to showcase new 4K and 8K
Neo QLED TVs, following the best models of Samsung QN90A and QN900A last year.
Depending on the phone, we expect to see some of the latest mid-range phones
with the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE being delayed for a long time, and possibly even
touch the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S22 range.
Sony at CES 2022
Sony is always hard to beat when it comes to
CES plans. Some years they come up with a concept car. Sometimes they come with
an animatronic dog. You never know what Sony will be like in any given year.
That being said, we have a few hunts for what
we will see there. From the Sony audio department, we may have seen a new list
of digital media players (i.e. Walkmans) and premium or two headphones. We will
see some wireless speakers and, on the TV side, at least three to four new 4K
and 8K screens to refresh our 2022 Sony TV program.
Sony usually does not show much in its camera
business at CES but expects to at least hear how the music and movie arms of
the company are performing. Will we see the PlayStation VR 2 there? Maybe not,
but we will definitely keep our eyes peeled for just that Sony will surprise
us.
TCL at CES 2022
TCL has welcomed CES as a pad to introduce
its new annual products and ideas that we may not see for a while. While some
of those devices are designed to come out silently (or not at all), there is
always an attractive range of TVs, phones, flexible screen devices, and other
gadgets from TCL, and we expect CES 2022 to be no different.
Given TVs with TCL butter and butter, we look
forward to the new 6-Series Mini LED TVs following last year's TCL 6-Series 8K.
TCL has been releasing calls under its name for a few years, and we expect the
tracking of the TCL 20 series released last year - probably the TCL 30 line.
Hisense at CES 2022
Hisense never gets the same amount of airtime
as companies like Sony, Samsung and LG at CES, but it still has to stand at the
company stop when you walk around the Las Vegas Convention Center. What we
expect from Hisense this year is another way for Google TV TVs to get UK smart
TVs and other new laser TVs in the US.
If you are looking for future technology
technology, you will also find it in Hisense's booth - however, most of them
are concept or special in the Chinese market.
Intel at CES 2022
The big announcement we expect from Intel at
CES is the ongoing release of Alder Lake's new CPUs. We expect one of its most
iconic silicons to be released in November, but those in particular will be a
high-end desktop. CES 2022 could see Alder Lake chips become part of the
portable computer, while the massive LITTLE build should increase the
efficiency of the laptop.
If the early indicators stick, new Alder Lake
chips may leave Apple M1 and M1X processors in the dust and AMD chips of AMD.
Panasonic for CES 2022
Panasonic usually shows up to CES with two
big announcements - one for its new OLED TV and one for its Technology cables
for vinyl players and headphones. This year, that could definitely change and
Panasonic may surprise us with something completely new and different, but this
game plan has worked well for Panasonic before.
Unfortunately, all of Panasonic's
announcement will probably come during IFA 2022 - which will not happen until
September next year.
